Former House Anne Frank Amsterdam

The former home of Anne Frank at Merwedeplein 37 ll in Amsterdam.
The Frank family lived here from December 1933 to July 1942.
Anne was four years old when she moved from Frankfurt am Main to Amsterdam with her parents Otto and Edith and her sister Margot. Anne went to school in Amsterdam, learned Dutch and played with her friends on Merwedeplein.
In July 1942, the Frank family went into hiding in the Secret Annex at Prinsengracht 263, where the Anne Frank House is now located.

The house was purchased in 2004 by the Ymere housing association, which completely restored it to its original 1930s style.
The house is now owned by the Anne Frank Foundation.
