Sacred Heart Statue RC Church Maashees
This was the location of the RC Church of Maashees. On 15 October 1944 the Germans detryed the tower of this church so that the advancing allied troops couldn't use it as an observation post. Post war the heavily damaged church was rebuild at another location. The Sacred Heart Statue, which only lost a hand during the war, marks this historic spot.
