Memorial Stone Second World War Barchon

Memorial stone to commemorate two Belgian soldiers who fell at Barchon during the Second World War.

It concerns GREVESSE Maurice, 11 May 1940 and DEPREZ Tony, 18 May 1940.

Soldier Grevesse fell when on patrol at the road from Visé to Barchon. Brigadeer Deprez died near the ventilationtower at the north of fort Barchon.

Both soldiers also are commemorated at the monument at fort Barchon. (Photograph 5 fort Barchon is the ventilationtower.)
