Abraham de Korte played an active role in the resistance in World War II. He was a member of the Order Service and of the Interior Forces. He helped people in hiding and stored weapons for the resistance. He was arrested on March 16, 1945 after being betrayed.

Abraham was locked up in the prison of Scheveningen. He was executed on April 3, 1945 at Hoflaan in Rotterdam. Together with 19 other prisoners, his death was a reprisal for the liquidation of a Rotterdam police officer by the Resistance. Abraham de Korte is buried at the R.K. Cemetery in Gouda.

On 10 april 2014, they finally got a face. Memory boards with photographs and information about these Resistance Fighters were revealed.
