Belgian War Graves Martenslinde

The cemetery of Martenslinde contains the grave of VAN MERLE Arnold, civilian victim of the Second War. He was killed by acts of war on 10 May 1940 at Martenslinde.

There is the grave of PEETERS Jozef Gerard, soldier V.V.E. 10th Wing at Kleine-Brogel, victim of the plane crash at Sake-Masisi (Congo) on 19 July 1960. He died on 21 July at Burundi Usumbura (Bujumbura).
41 soldiers were killed in that crash, including 36 members of the VVE 10th Wing Air Force and the five crew members of the C-119 Flying Boxcar.
