Dutch Reformed Cemetery Oud Kralingen

On the NH cemetery Oud-Kralingen in Rotterdam are five war graves. The names are:

• Jan Hendrik Matthijs de Bolster, resistance fighter, died on 8 March 1945. Placed on the Roll of Honor 1940-1945.

• Pieter Heere, forced labourer, died on 23 January 1945 in Düsseldorf.

• Leendert Johannes Lans, official at the PTT. Resistance fighter and shot on January 22, 1945 in Utrecht, together with his colleague Wolter Heukels, as a reprisal for an attack on the Jaffa metal factory. A simple plaque commemorates this incident.. Lans has been awarded the Cross of Merit. The war plaque above the grave is a copy of the plaque in the former main post office of Utrecht.

• Joan Peter van Rietschoten died in Rheinhausen.

• Karel Jan Augustijn Zweedijk, member of the Resistance. Zweedijk was arrested on April 12, 1945. In the evening he was allegedly 'on the run' shot by two members of Ordnungspolizei, who took him to the Haagseveer police station in Rotterdam.
