Denver Battery consisted of four 3 "anti-aircraft guns and four 30 cal. Anti-aircraft machine guns. It was manned by 60th CA (AA).

Denver was an important stronghold during the Japanese invasion of Corregidor on 5 May 1942. Before Company A and B could regroup at Denver (as planned), the Japanese already had captured it by 2350 and were digging in. By 0400 three American-led counterattacks were repulsed.
