and other wars.
Sons of this
place let this
of you be said
that you who
live are worthy
of the dead.
These gave their
lives that you
who live may
reap a richer
harvest ere you
fall asleep

The memorial contains the names of 289 who died during WW1 and 116 who died in WW2 and one from the Falklands conflict. Originally there were only 226 names recored from WW1, but extensive work by local historians has addresed the omissions.
