Bunker CF 4 Romsée

Bunker CF 4 is the fourth bunker and is part of the sector of Chaudfontaine-Fléron from the 2nd line of defense for the city of Liège (la Position Fortifiée de Liège, PFL 2).

The bunker is part of the defense for the nearby fortresses of Chaudfontaine and Fléron and is in the middle of these two fortresses.

The bunker is located at a forest plot at Romsée. Although the bunkers is near the road, it is not visible. A steep climp uphill most be undertaken before the bunker can be reached. The bunker has a perfect view on the surrounding area of Romsée.

The bunker has two gunopenings. One for a 47 mm anti-tank canon, and one for a machinegun. Also this bunker would have a turret. This was roufly cut out of the bunker after the war. Photo 4. The passage to the turret now is very well visible.

The turret, iron shutters and doors were sold after the war as scrap.
