Memorial Perished Teenagers Belfeld

This memorial cross, placed in 2012, commemorates the three boys who died here on September 10, 1942. These three teenagers, aged 15, 17 and 19, died in an accident with an unexploded phosphorus bomb. The bomb was probably lying in the verge and went off when the boys touched it. The boys, including 2 brothers, are buried in a joint grave in the old cemetery in Belfeld.
