Van Brederodekazerne

The Van Brederodekazerne in Vught, the Netherlands, has been the home base of the Engineer Regiment since 1966 and serves as its headquarters and training center. In 2000, the regimental command and regimental headquarters (with the standard) moved from Wezep to Vught.

It houses the Engineer Museum in Building K and the House of the Engineer Regiment, the operational center. The base remains an important location for the Dutch military infrastructure.

During World War II, an SS barracks complex stood here that served as an extension of the Vught concentration camp. The former SS barracks stood southeast of the gate of the Van Brederode barracks and is an extension of the base. The command center used to be the "SS terrain" of Camp Vught. Here too, many original SS buildings are still standing.
