Stelling Kornwerderzand - Casemate VI

This large Dutch 'gun casemate' was built in 1933 as part of the stelling Kornwerderzand. It saw action in the period of 12 to 14 May 1940.

Crew:
- 2 Petty Officers.
- about 20 Corporals and men.

Armament:
- Two 5 cm coastal guns.
- 1 heavy machine gun.

Casemate VI is the largest casemate of the stelling Kornwerderzand and has two floors. In this casemate there is an armory, an exhibition about the airwar around the IJsselmeer and the liberation of Friesland.
