Memorial Wellington Mk 1-bomber N2894 Klarenbeek

This memorial is errected in memory of the five crew members of the Wellington Mk 1 bomber plane, which crashed on this spot in the night of 30 to 31 may 1942. The text on the plaque reads:

"IN MEMORY OF THE 5 AIRMEN OF THE ROYAL AIR FORCE WHO CRASHED ON THIS SPOT IN THE NIGHT OF 30 TO 31 MAY 1942 WITH THEIR WELLINGTON Mk. 1 BOMBER PLANE AND THEREBY LOST THEIR LIVES.
