This former 'Marine Artillerie Waffenkommando' was built in 1942 by the Germans as Nebenstelle of the Marine headquarters in Den Haag. From here, the Germans coordinate the supply of stocks and maintenance of weapons of the German Navy in the sector Texel-Den Helder.
The complex today:
On 10 June 2009, a large part of the neoclassical administration building was devastated by a fire. There are plans to renovate this building again.
In february 2016 the site was closed for maintenance.
