Biography

Herbert N. Colcord Jr. was drafted on July 2nd, 1943 and enlisted on July 23rd at Fort Devers, Massachusetts. He left for Europe on January 17th, 1944, where he served from January 25th, 1944 until June 3rd, 1945. He became POW on June 12th, 1944. He returend to the United States on June 11th, 1945. Herbert Colcord was honorably discharged at Separation Point Section, Fort Ord, California on December 7th, 1945.
