Biography

Joseph Servo was one of the military in the Dakota "Clay Pigeon" which was shot down on September 17th, 1944 by the Germans and crashed between Casteren and Hoogeloon. Joseph Servo was seriously injured transported to a hospital in Breda where he died on September 18th, 1944. After at first having been buried in Breda, in 1948 his remains were transferred tot he American Cemetery in Margraten and later to Rome, New York.
