Memorial "Falling Man" Dutch Field of Honour Loenen

The Monument "Falling Man" is a war memorial on the Crooswijk General Cemetery in Rotterdam. It commemorates the 102 soldiers who gave their lives in May 1940 for the defense of Rotterdam against the Germans.

The Monument is three meters high and depicts a man falling backwards: fallen in battle against the enemy and was made by Cor van Kralingen. He also made a two meter high variant, which was placed on Dutch cemeteries in the Netherlands, Germany, England, France, Norway and Austria.
