Stumbling Stones Nieuwe Kerkstraat 147

'A HUMAN BEING IS FORGOTTEN ONLY WHEN HIS NAME IS FORGOTTEN'
(Talmud)

Here in Amsterdam two Stumbling Stones were laid for:

SALOMON DE ROOIJ, murdered on September 30, 1942 in Auschwitz.

ELISABETH DE ROOIJ-LEWIJT, murdered on September 30, 1944 in Central-Europe.

These Stumbling Stones are here for Jewish war victims, deported and murdered in the Second World War
