Monument Crash B17 Bomber "Pickelpuss"
The memorial honors the crew of the B-17 of the 8th US Airforce who was shot down here on August 17, 1943. 6 crew members did not survive the crash including one of the pilots Robert Knox. He is the only one buried at the US cemetery Henri-Chapelle a few km away. The others have been repatriated. There is no information about the fate of the survivors. They must have been captured.
