Stumbling stone resistance fighter Jos Van Tichelen

This small brass plaque (Stolpersteine or trip stones), laid here on 12-5-2024 commemorates: Jos Van Tichelen.

Jos Van Tichelen founded a branch of the Belgian Legion, later known as the Secret Army, in Turnhout. He was arrested on Dec. 29, 1942, and died on April 19, 1945, in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
