German War Graves Calais North

The German cemetery in Calais commemorates 394 deceased Germans who died during the First World War. They are listed in pairs on the gravestone.

29 soldiers were buried in a common grave, of which 21 have not been identified.

There is also a gravestone for a deceased member of the Jewish faith community.

Note: The address given is that of the main entrance to the cemetery (photo 1). The war graves are located at the rear of the cemetery. At that point, there is also an entrance on Boulevard du 8 Mai, but it is not known whether this is usually open.

Please note: The address provided is that of the entrance to the rear section of the cemetery where the war graves are located. It is not known whether this entrance is permanently open. The main entrance is located on Avenue Pierre de Coubertin (last photo), where there are also sufficient parking spaces.
