First Aid Station Zuidelijke Meentsteeg

This house was built in 1850 and, in May 1940, was converted into a so-called "aid station," or a wounded shelter.

Wounded soldiers could be transported from this aid station by stretcher or wounded vehicle to a dressing station. A dressing station was located approximately 2 kilometers behind each regiment's defense line.
