Memorial Liberation Henri-Chapelle
This memorial commemorates the liberation of Henri-Chapelle, on 11 September 1944, by 745th Tank Bn,1st Infantry Division.
Four soldiers were killed in the fights:
Pvt. Francis W. CLIFFORD
Pvt. Raymond Y. DIRKS
Pvt. George M. HANMER
Cpl. John W. NARDUCY
Pvt. Clifford en Cpl. Narducy are buried in Henri-Chapelle (B) cemetery.
Pvt. Dirks and Hanmer were repatriated and buried in the United States.
