Memorial Killed Railway-Employee Breda

In the hall of Breda railway station is this plaque situated. It commemorates a railway employee of this region who were killed in the Second World War.

Wilhelmus Adrianus de Leeuw served as bridge employee with the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railway) and work location Breda. Before World War 2 he was enlisted as Soldier with the 3e Sectie, 2e Wegcompagnie - Bataljon Spoorwegtroepen. As such he was placed as a three men watch at the Railway bridge at Dordrecht. He was killed in action on May 10th, 1940 during a short military action in encountering military from 3. Zug, 3. Kompanie, Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 1.
