CORDONNIER Léonard, l'Abbé (abbot), age 68, from Baelen, arrested on 29 June 1942 and deported as a political prisoner to Dachau concentration camp (Germany) where he died of hardship on 29 December 1942.
MOREAU Joseph, aged 50, non-commissioned officer in the 24th Line Regiment, war volunteer during World War I, decorated in the knighthood of King Leopold II with swords, the War Cross with palms, the Civilian Cross 1st Class 1914-1918, the 1914-1918 Victory Medal, the Croix du Feu, the Commemorative Medal, and the Military Medal.
Born in Henri-Chapelle, resistance fighter with le Mouvement National Royaliste, political prisoner since 1943, deported to Mauthausen concentration camp (Austria) and died there of hardship on 13 April 1945.
VANDERHEYDEN Willy, age 31, born in Clermont-sur-Berwinne, resistent of the Armée Secret, imprisoned since November 1943 and deported to Oraniënburg concentration camp and then Neugengamme (Germany) where he died of hardship on 20 February 1945, two weeks after his 31st birthday.
