ICE CREAM SALON
OWNERS WERE
GERMAN-JEWISCH REFUGEES
E. CAHN AND
A. KOHN.
THEY WERE TOGETHER
WITH VISITORS OF THE SALON
THE FIGHTING GANG, WHO
ON 19 FEBRUARY 1941
ACTUALLY
FOUGHT AGAINST THE
GERMAN OCCUPIERS.
CAHN WAS THEN
ARRESTED AND WAS AS
EXECUTED.
THIS EVENT
FOLLOWED BY
BIG RAIDS IN
JEWISH AMSTERDAM
ON 22 AND 23 FEBRUARY.
THIS WAS ALSO THE
REASON FOR THE
FEBRUARY STRIKE
ON 25 FEBRUARY 1941
, AS MASS
PROTEST AGAINST THE
JEWS PERSECUTION.
