    Biography

    Garland B. Cook entered service on June 29th, 1938 at Fort George G. in Meade, Maryland. He was placed with Company C, 93rd Infantry Battalion. On June 29th, 1941 he was honorably discharged, but straight away re-enlisted. After this he was placed with the 893rd Tank Destroyer Battalion. He left for Europe on January 9th, 1944 to arrive there on January 20th. He returned to the United States on January 29th, 1945 and arrived ther on Gebruary 1st.
