    "Who, as gunner of the Dutch m.s. "Ondina", which on November 11, 1942, fought in the Indian Ocean, although only equipped with one light-caliber cannon, together with the accompanying minesweeper of the Royal British Indian Navy, against two, each overwhelmingly armed Japanese raiders, was engaged, under dangerous circumstances and acted prudently when operating the guns."
