Commonwealth War Graves Vorden

The General Cemetery in Vorden has a memorial garden with 20 Commonwealth war graves. Buried here are the bodies of three aircrew who were killed in action and two British officers who escaped after being captured during Market Garden, only to be recaptured by the SD and executed.

In 2022, Omkijkpunt published the book “De 20 geallieerde gezichten van Vorden” (The 20 Allied Faces of Vorden). This book tells the stories of the 20 Allied soldiers buried in Vorden.
